Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into an adored family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to many traditional music as well as old Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as drama and opera. Ana began learning to sing and play music at an early age with her mother. The formal vocal training at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and young professional, she sang with many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing has her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations keep the tradition alive.
